Newbie to BYC from NZ

Hi and welcome to BYC! You certainly are in the right place for chicken chat being considered normal and actually interesting! However, as an Englishman, please, i implore you not to mention rugby in any way, shape or form!

. Welcome and i hope that you enjoy being a member as much as the rest of us.

All the best

Thank you :D It will be nice to feel somewhat normal with talking about chickens :p I've been going through the coop designs, so many incredible things people have built!
I will endeavor not to mention the R word

I reckon my wife secretly funds BYC and so i don't bore her with my chicken talk! Some people are indeed very creative when it comes to coop designs - I'm not, so i use my garden shed

. I'm sure you will endeavour "really hard" not to mention to R word!

Feel free to talk chicken all you want here...that's what we do all day long, lol!

You may want to put "New Zealand thread," in the search box to see if there is one. That would be a great source of information that is local for you. Welcome to Backyard chickens.

Hi all, from Marlborough NZ
frow.gif

I have just joined BYC and just acquired myself 6 10-11 weeks old ladies (hopefully).
Looking forward to watching my girls grow and chatting with you all along the way! I'm new to this chicken business.

I'm currently not living where my chickens are located, it's very hard! I want to hang out with them every night, but it's not always possible. I sit at work wondering what they are doing (worried mumma!)

We will be moving to our block of land early Feb, then I can see my girls every day!!!
