Yesterday I noticed my rooster had blood all over his shoulders above his wings. I Picked him up and after further inspection noticed pics below. Can someone tell me what this maybe? I thought is was a growth at first that maybe he injured, or an old wound that he spilt back open. The wound is right under the large mass. I actually poked a needle into the mass and it appears to just be a solid ball of whatever??- that does not hurt him. I was able to clean out the open wound and treat it. He is still eating and drinking. Does not appear to be in much pain, as he let me clean it, poke around it and cut some of the feathers way. I am not sure how to further treat it, wondering if it can be removed?
