How high should I make the dropping board?

Hey everyone! We are fixing up our coop currently and we are installing a dropping board. I want the area under the board to be open for my ladies to roam. We put the dropping board up 2' from the floor, but I wasn't sure if that will be enough room for them when they are full grown?
Thanks!

I had the same question. I looked all over the place for the answer. There were pictures of chickens under the drop board that looked like they had plenty of room but no one said what the dimensions were. So I asked here on just a few days ago if 22 inches was enough room (as that was what I had to work with) and I was told that would be fine so I am sure your 2 feet would be ok.

I just started with baby chicks so if anyone with more experience would like to jump in and answer I am sure it would be appreciated. I am just passing on what I was told. :)

Here is mine. The lowest roost is 30 inches from the floor. All my heavy breeds get up and down with no problem. I do prop and old ladder up against it but most of the hens don't use it.
This allows the use of the space under the roosts by the hens and makes it very easy to clean under.
I put a piece of scrap vinyl flooring on the board. I just clean off with a dust pan and then about every three months I take outside, clean with a bleach solution and let the sun dry it. I got it at a do it yourself discount place for like $5.

The poopboard in our coop is maybe 48" off the floor (chest height for me), the roost about 10" above that.
