I have 4- 2.5 week old coturnix quails that have chest feathers coming in well. Three look like they may be males and I am lost on the fourth....I'm hoping I have it wrong with at least one of the first three, as I would love 1 to 2 females. Any help in identifying them would be appreciated!

bird 2

bird 3

bird 3 againbird 4

Thanks for any help in identifying these lovely birds : )

The 1st two are females the second two are most likely roosters but youll have to wait and see another week or so, the last one cant be sexed by feather pattern so youll have to wait for it to mature as well.

K, I'm not good at determining gender this young. Bird three is def male but the first two goldens--- they have spots but I see brown coming through so maybe male? And I'm not familiar with the coloring on the last bird so I better not guess at that one. One of these more experienced guys might be able to tell you better. As they feather put more, it will be definitive

Good to know dc3085, my goldens look like that, spotty but some Rust and I've been wondering which they'll be!

Can I get help with a couple also? They are 3-1/2 weeks old. Hatched on Feb 13th/14th.

Only 2 different birds. One golden, and is the other Rosetta?
I'm guessing female golden, male rosetta?

Thanks for the help! I will post some new pics later tonight when I get home....they have gotten more feathers in. Hoping I was thinking one golden was a girl and the other a boy. The Pharaoh does look like it is completely losing all of its spots. The Pharaoh and the darker Rosetta/Tibetan (not sure which I should call it) are both sweet and will sit and get petted. Hoping I do have at least two females.
