Can't get quail chicks feet/legs right???

I have a few quail chicks, one has had major feet/leg issues since it hatched. It looks like it is doing freestyle everywhere, it kicks with its legs behind it and moves like this.
I tried string but it was to fiddly and couldn't get it on, I than tried a cut down band aid to keep it's legs together and it is also in a padded cup. There may be slight improvement but it toes were curled, so I tried making cardboard splints and sticking them on. but when I help it stand its feet are still bent..... what am I doing wrong?
Should I take it out of the cup now it is all splinted? I think it maybe standing on the top of its feet, in the cup
Compared the rest it is very sleepy, but it is quite strong, it kicks hard while trying to splint it. Thanks for any help
 
Anyone? i'm getting desperate... its getting bigger and stronger, I don't want to cull it!
Sorted it's legs out but it's feet are still bent the wrong way..... please help!
 
Also, when we were re-splinting the feet as the old ones came off, I realised it appears that the foot is almost bent the wrong way, how can we splint it so that the foot stays in the right position and not bent backwards?
 
try keeping the feet under the chick? when I do this for really weak chicks its fine, healthier chicks will squirm out every 10 min. Get a paper towel and a rubber band. roll/fold the paper towel up length wise (so it is long, but not to tall) and use the rubber band to connect the ends creating a kind of paper nest. Place the baby in their so her head and chest are up. This helped my weaker chicks in the past. Can you post more pics of the leg? Its hard to tell 100% what is wrong and how bent the leg is.
Make sure she is eating and drinking just as much as everyone else. And that she isn't being picked on. Quail are pretty good with living normal lives despite mobility issues, so as long as she doesn't give up hope (stops eating/drinking/cant move at all) I wouldn't cull her.

I will defiantly try this tomorrow arvo, when I get home. You wouldn't by any chance have any pictures of when you have done it in the past would you?
And I will take a close picture of the feet, legs seem pretty straight now. I tried earlier but they are a bit blurry.
Will charge the battery and take a picture and post it.
I have separated it with another one who for some reason is very small, their best mates! When I had it with the others they all picked on it's legs because it was continually kicking. But now the 2 are together wrapped up in a hanky..... both seem to spend a lot of the day sleeping.....
Other thing is the one with stuffed feet seems to only eat boiled egg yolk and no crumble at this stage, does this matter at such a young age?

You might try standing the chick up in a shot glass or something for 15 mins several times a day with the splints on. This will help to strengthen the legs. You need to prop the baby up as it won't stand on it's own. Do physical therapy with it several times a day. You will need to feed and water the baby too.

Get some Poly Vi Sol without Iron, liquid baby vitamins. 1 or 2 drops, 3 times a day. You can get these at Walmart in the human vitamin section. Vitamins are very important to regain strength.

And keep the baby a bit warmer than the others by a few degrees.

Unfortunately when I woke up this morning it seemed very weak, tried feeding it but wouldn't eat.....
Got home this arvo and it was worse, wouldn't eat/drink and died about 15 minutes later.
