Just checked out a new feed mill, I had always thought he was just a feed dealer with commercial feeds, which he does sell but he also has his own mill feed, I went there as I heard he has a good price on pig feed, I got 500 lbs of that then asked about chicken feed he's just over 8 bucks on 50lbs for a little coarser grind, and he's a little over 9 bucks on the fine grind, more of a mash. I didn't ask but I'm sure he has meat bird feed too I'll be looking at that next time I get pig feed. Hopefully my chickens do well on his layer and don't have a lot of waste, I'm giving it a shot anyways

Fantastic price! I'm 25 minutes from what I believe is the last feed mill in Vermont. About $12.50 per 50 lbs which is a good price for feed in these parts of the woods.

The mill is just east of Antigo so ya it's somewhat far from the fox valley unless you want to go for a drive and buy a larger amount. It is a pretty fine mash grind so I don't know if it will last as long as crumbles, if not I will buy the coarser grind to try next

That's wonderful! I thought we were doing good on $300 for 1500lbs of feed, comes out to right at ten dollars per 50lbs. But we have to get it in the big tote, it would be nice sometimes to get it in the individual sacks.
