What to use for top of covered coturnix quail pens....

I'm in the process of finishing up some coturnix quail pens and the way im building them the pens will have a hinged roof made of OSB sheathing. At the tallest part in the pen it'll be bout 32" tall, was told im better off putting some type of protection for when the quail jump/fly up and smack their heads. Since the roof will be solid the stretchy type netting is out of the question. Was wondering what you guys put on the inside of the roof on your coturnix pens to soften the blow when they fly up and smack their heads?

i just use wire, and my quail dont jump cuz they know they will get hurt
