Hi I have a Silkie who is almost a year old and she is constantly sitting in her nest. All the eggs are layed in that box but she sits there even when there aren't eggs in it. I believe she is laying eggs but am not sure. Does anyone know why she insist on sitting in an empty nest?

I have heard silkies are very good at going broody. She may not realize there are no eggs, or not care. Sounds like you have a broody hen.
