Tried banana today, and they could care less. Then this evening my kids and their friends caught a few crickets, tossed them in with the chicks and they went crazy! I felt a little bad but it was fun to watch them running and catching them.

Leftover chicken, the bones with scraps of flesh left on it. Yeah, I know, "Eww, gross!". That's what my roommates say, as they try and impress human values on a bunch of birds! :D

But the chickens don't know (or care!) what it is or where it came from. It's better than letting it rot and stink in the trash and I certainly can't give it to the dogs! The birds go nuts over it (it's fun to see them chase each other hoping to rip off a piece, sorta like a comical shark frenzy. The bones get picked clean (they don't try and eat the bones themselves).

And I have yet to see any of my cluckers sprinkling Tony Chachere's on their sisters!

so far i've just given worms and clumps of sod/moss/dandelions for them to kick around and peck at. they really like playing with straw/hay bits and nibbling at them.

My older gals absolutely LOVE sunflower seeds though, go crazy nuts for them! so i'm thinking i'm going to try some of the suggestions that others posted about seeds and stuff, we'll see if they like them or not!
