Hi All

I have been developing Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons for a few years. I am now crossing my Lemon Cuckoo rooster with a Buff hen. The birds that hatched were Buff split females and barred males, as expected. However, two chicks were different from the others - they are 12 weeks old now and the male looks like a Delaware (though he doesn't have the best markings) and the female is buff with the basic colombian markings. Since buff is wheaten and colombian and cuckoo is silver, black (and colombian?) ect, after a number of generations, Delaware and colombian birds are possible right?

So, if I were to cross this cockerel over this pullet in the future, would I get the beginning of Buff Delaware? Or just Buff Colombian?
Or are these birds simply genetic junk?

Thanks for your thoughts.
