I have a Blue Wheaton bantam rooster and his comb has grown down so close to his beak it is starting to obstruct his nose holes. I have included a picture not sure if you can see very well, but the comb is covering his nose holes. You can gently pull up on his comb and it will open the holes a little bit. He eats and drinks and otherwise is fine, he just makes a wheezing sound when he breathes. Is there anything I can do?

I have never seen that before, but maybe some people who have had a lot of roosters can chime in. I know that a lot of roosters' combs are dubbed for certain breeds. His comb might need to be altered if the comb is obstructing his breathing.

I always feel that the less you do to change the nature of things, the better. As long as he is breathing well, do nothing. But if the wheezing sound is due to the comb, consider trimming it. A vet might be able to help you decide. Dubbing is done with very sharp scissors, and blood stop powder, but hopefully, you won't have to .
