Interesting, I just checked and almost everything looked cheaper or basically about the same at TSC vs Amazon. I'm going to check with my local farm supply when I get that batch of chicks tomorrow. I'm not a huge TSC fan especially after we were there Friday night and saw that there were obviously dead chicks just laying the brooders. Really sad. Even more sad was when I brought it to an employee's attention and basically got the , "Yup, they die every day" comment. Glad I was not depending on getting chicks from them!!!

It is borderline criminal in my book. Our local farm supply has chicks and they appear healthy and happy. They are all running around going crazy like they should be. None of that with the TSC chicks. The ones moving around looked lethargic. The rest were pretty much huddled together like they were freezing.

I'd be reporting them ASAP, not to mention I would've packed up all the healthier chicks and walked out the door...
 
Always get ours at a hatchery and suggest everyone else do the same. But it also depends on which TSC you go to and their knowledge and care of the chicks. Some don't even know the breeds nor hatch date.
