My husband & I are building a new coop & run. We are thinking about placing cinder blocks around the perimeter 1 ft deep in the ground with metal mesh skirt, with 6" cinder block above ground & 3 ft of corrugated metal above that. Above the metal we will be placing metal welded wire the rest of the way up. My question: Will 6" of kitten wire mesh under 6" of cinder block & 3ft of corrugated metal deter mice/rats/weasels from digging under or climbing up & reaching the welded wire?
