My father in law has a farm in the country he told me he has a bunch of spare seed I could have ... he has buckets of lentils ... peas.... wheat... safflower ...

Can I make a mix and feed these as scratch grains as a treat?

It's toxic in large quantity. Why would you have a lot of mustard seed?

I guess it doesn't matter why. I'd avoid feeding mustard. If they eat some no big deal at all but wouldn't intentionally feed it. Lowest lethal dose recorded for cow is 300 grams. Some cows could eat up to 500 grams. Why is there data on such things? Crazy and cruel things are done in the name of science. Don't even get me started on salt overdoses for chickens. You don't want to know what was done. Suffice to say salt is needed for every living thing and the methods used to overdose birds was ridiculous. What's funny is people today think salt is bad for birds. That's false.
