I know this isn't the place for this, but I stumbled upon a bird while mowing my land yesterday that has laid eggs right in the middle of a patch in front of my house. Here she is warning me to back off and she has dive bombed the kids for getting to close. Anyone have experience with these birds or know what it is? Is it possible to move it or should I just leave it be? How long til hey hatch and move on?

It is a killdeer. Leave it be. As soon as the eggs hatch the parents will lead their chicks away. Be careful not to step on them. The babies look like tiny puffs on stilts.
