This is my first post!

On 3/21/16 I set 4 duck eggs in my incubator. On 3/23 I set 18 more. This is my first time attempting to hatch ducks, so I'm scared I'm going to mess up.

I originally set them in an egg carton, large end up. I candled after the first week or so and removed 2 that had no signs of life. All of the rest looked like the photo attached. I have been patiently waiting, tilting the incubator 3x a day since, hoping I get babies soon!

Yesterday I read a thread here that duck eggs shouldn't be incubated standing up. I took out my egg carton and laid all of the eggs on the floor of the incubator. When I candle them, they all look completely full, except for the air space. The do, however, have clear spots at the pointy end of the shell as well. Some have a very large clear pointy end, some very small. I candled yesterday while moving then, and all of the remaining 20 eggs show movement. I figured this way, I can stop turning the three that are on day 25, but continue turning the rest for two more days. The first batch is scheduled to hatch Monday 4/18.

I'm scared that the clear spot is the dreaded "yellow goo" and my babies are too wet. Is there anything I can do for them? They are all moving, so I haven't lost hope yet. Anything I can watch for?
