Hi All
A new "Mother Hen" to a Turkey (Olive) a Speckled Sussex (Rummi) and a cute little Cochin Bantam (Iddle). Recently we added to the flock with a variety and still not sure which will become roosters and which will be hens. We love our mixed bunch and they do make me laugh something a need very much in my life! I'm not sure what I'm supposed to write or tell you but I have a question I need to ask where do I do that or how? Thanks and have a fine day - some call me Jackie and others call me Confused Cowgirl

Welcome to BYC!
Where to ask your question would dpeend on what the question is about - the forum has several different topic specific areas, so finding the one that most closely matches your question would be a good place to post -- then use the "start a new thread" button just like you did to start this thread here in this area.

Hi Jackie and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us.

The Learning Centre is a great resource, even for experienced poultry keepers - loads of info on anything poultry. https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - just type the name of your state in the search box.

All the best

Nice to meet you Jackie, Welcome to Backyard chickens. The Learning Center is a great place to start a poultry education. From there you can check out the various other forums that meet your needs. You may want to visit the coops section for idea and plans, and the predators threads, to find out what is lurking and how to protect against them.

If you put Missouri in the box, you state thread will pop up. Then you can find info on what are the best breeds for your climate and so on.
