Hen laying eggs left over in nesting box

Hi All! my hen laid 10 eggs. 6 chicks so far in a day. 4 eggs she is still brooding on. When do I know it is time to discard any eggs that fail to hatch? Thank you in advance :)
 
Your hen will get off the nest on day two or three, so after that you can check them and discard them. Hopefully all were set on the same day.
