Reintroducing hurt chicken?

One of my hens was recently hurt with a sprained leg and is better now but I tried to bring her back to the coop and they attacked her. Does anyone have any ideas?
 
This can be an issue when a bird has been removed from the flock for a period of time, and also if the rest of the flock senses an injury or weakness in a bird -- at this point she is viewed as an outsider by the rest of the flock and must be reintegrated. If possible, housing her in a safe zone (a crate/cage or sectioned area of the coop) that allows the other birds to become familiar again with her presence can help to ease the transition once you free her to mingle with the rest of the flock. Alternatively, housing a nice flock mate with her for a couple of weeks so that the two of them re-bond and then introducing them as a unit vs. a single bird can help to diffuse the tensions as well.
