So we are refurbishing our old Corn Crib and making it into a Summer coop for our meat chickens this summer. The corn crib has some heavy gage wire fencing that we want to reuse. However, it is a rectangle pattern about 2"x4". I dont think a coon could stretch it out enough to get in, obviously it could reach in, which we have enclosed the roosting area so they should be ok. I'm wondering if anyone else has used this stuff or doesn't think its a good idea. We were planning on just having the end enclosed with wood and the rest open to the run, we didn't want to put up a door between the two so that we can expand on it in the future easily enough. Here are some pictures of what we've done and some where you can see the existing metal fencing.
