So, we just got 4 chickens (2 Rhode Island Red and 2 Plymouth Rock) four days a ago. Today, I noticed the one is missing some feathers on her neck (you can see the skin) and another has a few missing on her back (no skin seen). One of the hens is a little meaner to the others and we think it is her. They are free-range all day and only go into the coup to lay and at night. When my dad made the coup, he only made three nest boxes. Is this a problem? What should I do about the missing feathers? I'm really worried and don't know what to do.
NOTE: Two hens have nose rings and two don't. The one that picks of the others doesn't have one. I don't know if any other the others are picking too.
