Does anyone know how long the incubation for a ruffed grouse egg is? I saw the bird get hit in front of me so i pulled over to see if it was alive. Turns out it was but pretty rough shape. so i brought it home hoping for the best and the next day i checked on it. it was barely alive but had an egg under her. she died not long after. i've had an incubator going for a few days now and im about to put chicken eggs in. I want to hatch it in there just not sure how long incubation is. i read 24-26 days. i also have a pair of pigeons that just started sitting on fake eggs. Would it be better to have the pigeons hatch it and take the chick out after? ive raised ruffed grouse before just never hatched them.
