Hi,
I have a sizzle hen who has been sitting on eggs for a month or so. She just hatched out one baby a week ago, but the baby died. I moved her to the broody breaker today so she could recover and eat without the larger hens interfering with her. As I moved her, I noticed significant feather loss on her wings and the back of her head; a lot of her "sizzle feathers" are stripped bare or down to stubs, and her body is just covered in fluff instead. Is this the work of feather mites? I've included some pictures. If it is mites, what products can I use for her and the flock?
Thanks!
