Can I put golden pheasants in with chickens, ducks, turkey and guinea fowl. I was interested in getting a boy and 3 girls.

I wouldn't recommend running pheasants with other poultry. Chickens especially, although they can carry disease's that they can tolerate, it will kill pheasants. They will do better if given their own space. If you plan on running a quad of goldens, id recommend a shelter/run of at least 10' x 25', the bigger the better. Good Luck

Ok thanks. I was thinking about the chickens I have heard about the diseases they carry. but some people keep guinea fowl with ring neck pheasants since guinea fowl are a type of pheasant. At least I guess so.

Yes, they are Galliformes, some orinthologist class them in the family Phasianidae others in Nunididae. Helmeted guineafowl are in the Class Nunididae, some orinthologist claim theres as many as 30 subspecies! but that's highly debated, probably only about 9. Sorry, i got sidetracked, you may be able to keep them together or may not...guinea's can be pretty aggressive. All i can tell you is try it but be ready and able to seperate them if the situation arises. Good Luck

One big problem would be the turkeys, Now I have never kept Domestic turkeys maybe they are easier going lol. With Wild turkeys the Roosters both pheasant and Chicken will at some point get stupid and mess with the Gobblers and the gobblers wont take much before they put an end to the problem permanently.
I had dead pheasants before I realized what was going on. Found a dead cock one day no obvious reason for it to have died, a couple days later another dead cock same thing no obvious cause. . Was checking the birds trying to find out what was going on when I saw a a cock jump into the face of a young gobbler, the gobbler grabbed it by the neck and shook it like a dog would and there was another dead cock ! Saw a Rooster go the same way, Gobblers will get along with anything until it messes with them. Golden's are pretty easy going so might not be a problem.
As for disease unless you take some serious precautions you are going to spread any disease on your place from one pen to another .

+1 ravensgait, on the spreading disease. Not to hyjack this thread but i had 2 male wild Rio Grande turkeys. Like you said, pretty docile until messed with, funny thing was the UPS driver told everyone, pay no attention to our Great Danes but you better look out for the turkeys. Those birds would attack him everytime he made a delivery.lol

Thanks. Yeah my guineas chase the fed ex man back in the truck. I have all female turkeys a spanish black and a north eastern wild turkey.

It's probably too late for me to post on this thread but oh well hopefully my post is seen. Why do recommend separating Pheasants and Chickens? Besides the increase of disease risks? We have two chickens who are about three months old living in the coop and run. We were debating putting the Pheasants in the coop sectioned off but it would be dangerous still i guess, especially with baby Pheasants. We have a loft for them to live in, so it's not like they don't have their own place to go but I don't feel comfortable putting chicks up there. I've been trying to find information about Pheasants but there's hardly anything on here. The day olds come on friday and I'd like to obtain as much information as I can before their arrival.
Whatever info you can offer me it would be happily and gratefully received.

i have pheasants and chickens in the same pen and the pheasants have bred adn raised young so i havent had a problem with diseases. i have a silver pheasant pair and a yellow golden pair

Good to hear, they probably wouldn't have to be in there that long anyways but I worry about them having to possibly share a run when they're older.
