I have a duckling with an injured leg. It hobbles around by using the joint of the leg like a peg leg. The leg seems to not want to straighten. The joint looks very different than the non-injured leg. The joint is very wide. I'm not sure if it's in pain or not but it still eats and drinks normally, although it hasn't gotten bigger like the other ducklings have. Just looking for some options on how we can treat the leg. The leg has been injured for a quite a few weeks now and hasn't gotten any better on its own.

Thanks

Do you know how it got hurt?

Are your ducklings on Niacin supplements?  They need Niacin to help their legs and feet stay strong.

No, we're not sure how it got hurt. But I will look into purchasing those supplements. Thanks

You're welcome. You can buy it water soluable, or you can buy Brewer's Yeast (The kind you make alcohol with), or Nutritional Yeast. I sprinkle Nutritional Yeast on my ducks' feed every night.

I'm betting your duckling has a deficiency, and that is why it is unable to walk.
