Chick hatched a few minutes ago. What is this red thing on it??

I would guess the yolk sac didn't absorb. I have 1 like that right now and I don't think mine is going to absorb it or live. Yours looks to be walking... I had a small one that dried up and fell off but yours is huge.
 
From the pic it appears to be unabsorbed yolk. If that is what it is and you can keep it from rupturing, it has a good chance. I would put a damp paper towel in the bottom of a deep cup/dish (I used a coffee mug for mine) and keep it in the bator or brooder under heat and give it time to absorb. If it absorbs it may leave behind a small ball of yolk membrain that will dry up and fall off. The tricky thing is to keep the yolk from rupturing. If it does rupture, about the only thing you can do is tie it off and hope for the best. Ruptured yolks usually results in death. There is always hope though.
