Has anyone had this? He turned 5 weeks today and started crowing. I've heard it before so maybe as early as 4 weeks. He's an interesting mix haha... they are just different. Hard to explain. He wasn't being nice with the other chicks so I took him and his flockmate, same cross out and they are fine together. Anyhow, fully feathered and crowing at 4 weeks. Interesting!

I think I might name him T Rex :)

My Old English banny started to crow at 5 weeks! It was the funniest and cutest sound! When I had my second rooster, he didn't crow until he was 17-18 weeks old since my teeny tiny 1lb rooster is the king of the roost, he had to wait awhile.

Oh my gosh, it was so cute! They are so mature for their age...I hope he calms down too. He was pecking the others, but oddly enough, never her who is the same mix.

Wonder what makes a rooster crow so early. Lots of testosterone haha. How did you Old Englsh banty turn out?

He is just perfect!! He is seriously so good with his girls. He did a little pecking at first to establish his order with them, but he watches out for them and finds them treats. He seriously is a pound, but acts like he weighs as much as a lion and roars at anything that could harm his girls..even if it's a humming bird buzzing around to loudly, he will sound his alarm and they go running for cover. I just LOVE him! :D

Oh, and he will let us pick him up and cuddle for a second ;) My son would carry him on his shoulder for about 2 minutes before he was ready to fly off.
