Hi, My plan is to always have a continuos flock of chickens, but I have a questions, I recently bought a Light Brahma.huge bird ( I planned to butchered it, but then found out that it's one of the most common standard chicken breed to go broody, plus it's so big that I assume it'll sit on many eggs!).

At what age do hens stop going broody? In my case a 3 year old light brahma hen?

It's really a bird by bird thing -- did the previous owner say that this particular bird had been broody at all in her life so far? Just being of a particular breed is not going to mean that this specific bird will be broody.
For me, the birds that have been good broodies have continued to cycle through broodiness even after their actual production had slowed/stopped due to age.

Oh okey, thanks for telling me, I will get in touch with the previous owner! I appreciate the help
