Okay, so I frequently buy whatever cute new chicks they have at rural king to add to our small farm. They are more like pets with a purpose to us than anything. I recently bought two adorable little chicks that had what looked like a 50's beehive on their heads. We had them for a few weeks, and in that time they grew to about what youd call teens I guess. Their lil beehives turned into mowhawks, and one was black and white, the other red and black, both spotted and striped. They were gorgeous! They look like lil rockabillie's, so we aptly named them K'nickie, and Zucco. They were sweet and came right up to humans to be petted, by far the friendliest breed weve ever had! But someone broke into my yard today, stole some power tools from my shed, and also took K'nickie, and Zucco! I have other chickens, but they didnt even mess with them! Im sorry for the rant, but they were special. Im pretty upset about it.
My husband wants to get more of the same breed immediately, but we usually dont care to read the names when we pick them out, so we have no idea what they were!
I called rural king in hopes of someone there telling me, but they said they didnt have anymore, and they have no idea what Im talking about... A friend of ours said they looked like spitzhaubens, but I was looking at pictures of the chicks, and none of the ones I saw had the lil beehive on their heads! So Im at a loss, and hoping someone on here will be able to help me so I can find my lil rockabillies again!
Thank you so much!

I'm sorry to hear that! I hope whoever made off with them gets caught. I'm not too impressed with my local RK. Care and knowledge in regards to their animals (poultry and rabbits) is often...lacking. My guess would be Golden and Silver Polish? I never thought RK carried Polish, but I just happened across some Buff Laced a couple weeks ago and scooped them up. Here's what the gold and silver look like:

That's terrible. They do sound like Polish. Here is a picture of my White Crested Black when she was a chick. Did they look like this, but different colors? Polish come in many different colors.

That looks almost exactly like what they looked like! Thank you so much! The only difference is color! But of course that ranges, you guys have been such a great help!
