My youngest daughter is moving and has "farmed" out all of her chickens to her sisters and her Mom(me) of which i am gaining 3. One happens to be my 10 year old grandsons favorite chicken who he has SPECIFICALLY said " I want Grandma to take care of it no one else"....ahhhh nothing like a little pressure on a first timer..oye!!
So,i am taking on this great task, but looking forward to it. As my oldest already has had them for a few yrs and she close by,i can readily get her help as well as she can help her other sister too.I am hoping that once my grandson gets moved into a new home and settled at some point,i will hopefully be able to bring him his chicken (still kick"n and screaming).
