Normal my chicks do that all the time it's a comfort security thing
Normal. I went to a bigger dish to keep them from kicking it all out which lead to them both sleeping in there at the same time and roosting on the edge - which has led to pooping in the food. So I went back to the little quart chick feeder. No sleeping, no pooping, no scratching it all out
