They're called sex links cause the sex is linked to the color. Male black sex links have barring. Females are solid (non-barred) black with various amounts of gold/red. Some are almost all black with just a touch of red at the throat, some like your girl have lots more of the red color. Your birds are definitely a black sex link pullets
