Blue vs Lavender Orpingtons...

I know it sounds silly, but I'm colorblind and Im wondering how the blue oprpingtons differ from the lavender...When I ask the sellers, I get answers about genetics, but I just want to know about the color and look...

The main difference in their look is the patterning on the feathers. Blue orps can have a couple different shades of blue in them and it can look like their feathers are laced in darker blue around the outside. Lavender, or self blue, orpingtons are all one uniform shade, and it's a lighter blue color than on blue orpingtons.
