Wierd Egg Outside Of House.

I Found This Wierd Egg Outside Of Our House. And Our Poultry Aren't Even Near Where It Was Laid.

I didn't know anywhere else to put this thread but any idea what bird it's from? :hu

how big is it? we need something to scale, say a quarter.

Do you have Mallards in your area? My brother found an egg like that at his place, his property connects to ours, and we had seen a pair of Mallards a few days earlier wandering around.
2 Buff Orpingtons, 4 Black Sex Links,. 1 Golden Retriever, 1 "old man" cat and 2 Betta.

We Have Mallards At Our Local Zoo. But They Don't Hang Around Our Area. All Eggs We've Looked Up Have No Resemblence I Also Forgot We Have Reptiles In Our Area. Our Ducks Don't Know How To Fly Either so... :caf

Sorry For The Long Wait Butters. I Tried Replying On My Phone And The WIFI Was Being Slow. About 3 Inches Tall. I'm Not A Master Measurer So The Width Is A Mystery To Me.

A quick update is that we may suspect the egg is fertilized.
