Rats??

I had a broody mom hatch out 6 chickso that would be 3 weeks old now... They have got along great with the rest of the flock without any issues until the last few nights. Now there is only 1 chick left multiple rat traps set any hole created has been repaired in the morning (our coop is an old barn with cement floor they chew thru the wood) my husband went in last night with a pellet gun and said there was another hen with the momma hen who should have had 2 chicks this morning there was only 1. So my question is would a rat pick of a chick every night without the hen noticing or could another hen be doing it only at night? But there is NO sign of a dead chick in the mornings besides it being gone....
