Eye problem

The only thing I can recommend is either keep trying to get it cleaned out daily and apply the neosporin.
Do you have a vet that can you the Cipro eye drops or something similar?

I will find out, but I am not sure. Would a worm do that kind of thing? I never saw one but a couple of times I saw her eyelid moving at the bottom

It's always a possibility it could be eye worms, if I understand correctly they are small thready looking worms.

But the large swelling and cheesy pus are more indicative of infection from injury or respiratory infection.

I found that Visine eye drops work out for all eye infections. I usually treated them a once a day because my time was all taken up with school. Try visine eye drops to wet the scab it has and slow take it off using a pair of tweezer, or by hand

. After that just start applying eye drops 2-3 to both eyes and make sure it gets into the eye and let it sit in the eye ball for a little bfore applying another drop.

Thanks for the help. I did call the vet and was told they don't do exotics (huh?). He did talk to me and said to treat the whole herd (as he asked about any other problems and I told him about 3 other chickens that died a month or so ago of respiratory issues). Going to try something soluable. Hoping for no withdrawal. I think I've read Tylan fits that?

You can use Tylan.

We had to put her down this morning. We are going to treat the whole flock with Tylan so we don't lose anymore. This is the 4th we have losses. At least we know what's going on and hopefully how to treat it.
I read there isn't a withdrawal on eggs with Tylan. That's true right?

I'm sorry for your loss.

I do recommend that you send her for necropsy so you know which respiratory disease your dealing with.
Since you have lost several hens in a short time. Most respiratory illnesses are contagious and exposed birds, even though they appear healthy will be carriers for life.

If I understand correctly Tylan has a 1day withdrawal. As with any antibiotic use, you should research the timelines and perhaps consult your vet to make sure.

I have a troubling case as well. I have a 5 month old shamo stag with a swelling eye. Not around it so much but the actual eye or cornea. None of the other birds showing any signs. And this bird is eating and acting totally fine. Droppings look normal. Third eyelid is working fine as well. The eye has no puss but is a little sensitive to light and this being the second day has started keeping it closed more. Please help, not sure what this could be.
I added 2 pics, one of the normal eye and the other of the enlarged. Thank you
