Our Silver Ameraucana has this bump in-between her toes and I was wondering if it was bumblefoot. The following article prompted the question

http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2011/07/bumblefoot-causes-treatment-warning.html

She's skittish so I don't want to do surgery so if there are any other treatments please let me know.

Thanks,

Oh, and no, she doesn't seem to be in pain. She acts normal (running around, digging, eating grass, enforcing her pecking order position, etc.)

Have you looked at the bottom of her foot?

If it is related to bumble foot, you will find a dried poop ball under that bump - and can just "shell" it out. if the pad of the foot looks infected then you will need to take other steps.

Please post a pic of the underside of the foot to get better opines.

Photo is not clear enough to tell - but looks like the foot pads are ok.

The bump is not what I expected - is it hard or soft, red, tender?

The bump on Gypsy's left foot pad is a bit hard on the tip, but otherwise it feels the same as the rest of her foot.

The bump on Gypsy's right foot (in-between the toes) feels hard.
