Egg pipping bloody

We came home yesterday to find eggs starting to pip :) One of them had blood that had dripped out of the hole and fethers or ??? protruding from the hole. Any idea of what went wrong? The rest are hatching without issues. I have little hope that we will get a viable chick from this egg.

If there is blood the chances are the chick pipped through a prominent vein in the membrane. Sometimes it happens. Depending on how much it bled the chick may or may not hatch alright.
