Do you know what breed she is??

Hello all!

I received this hen and her chicks from a friend.  She told me the daddy was a Bantam rooster....but is this hen a Bantam too?  I've been searching pics on line trying to figure it out, but I haven't found any with a black face like she has!  I think she's gorgeous!!  Love the black and red together.

Thank you in advance!!

Bantam simply refers to the size. If it's half as big as a normal chicken then yes it's a bantam.

The colour and look is related to its breed and if it's a mix of more than one you may not find a definate answer to what that is (same as a poodle mixed with other dog breeds isn't really a poodle anymore but a poodle mix that could look anything like any of those breeds or none of them). It will still be a bantam though either way as long as it's small.

Thank you!!!  I wondered why when I looked up Bantam it showed all different looking chickens!!  LOL:thumbsup  I love learning new stuff!  She is quite small relative to my other hens which are Ameraucana.  She is closer to the size of my one Golden Campine.
