In the Brooder
Ok these chickens are around 3 -3.5 months. I had a second red, but by 5 weeks it had a red comb and wattle while the others weren't showing wattle at all. I gave him to my parents thinking i had to red males. Tho this one didn't show wattle until a couple of weeks after the first, it started red and the other chickens still had no wattle at all at the time. Even when young this red has always been the more aggressive(even compared to the other) when young, while the others hid this red would look up at me in the crate a if to be checking me out or showing me up so that gave me an idea that it may have been a roo. It also feathered after my other red roo did. It not lays in the doorway of the coop at night with the others behind it as if to be the watchdog. lol. still will run when i go in the coop tho, so not too aggressive. The legs seem thicker than the rest, and i have seen it buff out its neck feathers and run toward the others. It also has blue feathers in the tail and some blue feathers throughout the neck. I have not heard any crowing. I'm also worried about this sea bright. I believe based on the horn and early development of the comb that it is a male. I had a orange and black sea bright of the same age(sadly it passed) that did not have that comb. The comb on the others was more of a black color and not as noticeable. If these are both males then the sea bright sadly must go. If these are both males and there is anybody in the G.R, MI area that would like him then he is free to a good home ONLY!
