Sprouting and planting your own seed

Hi all you Birders!

I'm just wondering how many of you out there make your own sprouts and who plant birdseed in their gardens?

I myself make millet and sorghum sprouts. I also plant mini fields in geyser trays and rotate them between the aviaries.
The quail love the sprouts and clean a whole tray field quite quickly. The greens cant get greener than that

and/or what do you plant?

I tried wheat, but it gets rather moldy by the time it's at the height I want it. I even tried watering it with a solution of f10 but it didn't kill the mold. It might be harmless, but I don't like the idea of feeding my birds something moldy.
I sprout - or rather germinate, to reduce the risk of harmful organisms - several kinds of seed for my budgies, but for the quail I just stick to their game bird starter.
 
I do mung bean sprouts (like the kind you can buy at Asian grocery stores). The quick growth lets me average about 1.5-2 treat feedings per week, though some do enough sprouting to feed every day.
 
Mine seem to be enjoying the millet and sorghum sprouts, as well as fresh cuttings of the same.

I also have white-edged swedish ivy and spider plants for cover, décor and nourishment. The combination works well.

My birds are healthy, fully feathered during mating season and are daily layers.

Hello there,

Millet is a common bird seed which you'd get at most stores.
I buy 10kg bags of wild bird seed and separate by hand while being a couch potato.

My birds prefer Sorghum to Millet.
