hen got tangled in rope....possible broken leg/weird lump on foot HELP

My hen did not come home last night, we thought she might have become dinner. We found her this am, wrapped in some twine and stuck to a tree. We set her up under the tree the chickens like to be under, left out food and water where she could easily reach it. She can move around, but doesn't, possibly because of pain. She is now isolated in a large dog crate. One leg is injured. There is a large greyish lump under one toe on that leg. There was some blood on her leg when we found her, but no new blood. She has also laid an egg since then. What can I do for her????
 
Is she eating and drinking? She may be sore and exhausted from trying to escape and stress. It takes a physical, mental, and physiological toll.

I would supplement her with some vitamins and probiotics to start. I find that mealworms and small amounts of string cheese, yogurt, or plane whole wheat noodles do wonders for boosting spirits and energy.

I would also keep another mild tempered chicken with her as isolation can stress them out even more.

Do you have pics of the injury?
 
I do not have a pic right now,possibly tomorrow. She is eating and drinking normally, even pecked at hens trying to eat her treat. That being said, she does not stand up or move much. She can, but limps badly. There is a lump under one toe that looks grey and scaly. That leg looks slightly swollen, and she does not put weight on it....
 
I would make her comfortable with lots of rest and see how she's feeling in the morning. Maybe add some electrolytes to the water, too. Perhaps if nothing "feels compounded, broken, or out of place it may be just tissue damage or strain. I'll be praying for the best for your bird. I know what it's like when they are sick and pitiful.
 
There's definitely something wrong with the foot, but I've been trying to practice patience. I really cannot afford a vet visit, but that's what i'd like to do. I'll take a pic in the am. Maybe someone can help?

I would think that soreness and limited movement would be an indication of some pain. But if she's eating and drinking she's probably tolerating it and coping fairly well. Pain, although not pleasant, can be a safety feature in an injured animal. It'll keep them from moving around on an injury, further damaging itself. She will probably be sore for at least a few days before you get a chance to really assess the extent of her injuries. Food and eating stimulates "rest and digest" chemicals which helps her to rest and heal, so keep food and plenty of water easily available.

She's alert and awake, but still can't stand. I bit the bullet and called my vet, but it seems nobody will work on a chicken. I'll try to get pics of the foot

Ok, hopefully someone with more specific experience can weigh in soon. I've received LOTS of help on here from @casportpony and @Wyorp Rock. Pictures will certainly help. Protein helps with healing injuries so perhaps try feeding her some boiled egg.
