Ducks not laying eggs?

I have two female ducks that started laying this year, i have others but they won't start till next spring. My two that started laying was a blue Indian runner and a pekin. They started laying this spring when it started to get warm then they laid for maybe 3 months then stopped and haven't laid since ?? I thought they are kinda like chickens and will lay most of the year except for the cold months. Is there something wrong? I got 3 new pekin females, 2 buffs females, 1 mallard hen, and a welsh harqiun and two Indian runner crosses females this year so I will have more duck eggs. They are free ranged and locked in the pen at night and are fed half flock raiser and half layer crumbles. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong??

Does it look like they had a pillow fight in your yard? They may be going through a molt.
 
We have a large flock so we do frequent roundups and wing clipping during molting but I am not sure how long individual birds take start to finish. We know when we see piles of feathers (drifted like snow in places) that the molt has begun and it does not end until every duck has its flight feathers trimmed (after the blood has drained). We still have one hen with blood feathers while everyone else is done until the next molt.

Hot weather can slow down laying too so sometimes it is a combination of factors that reduces laying for a time. Check the flight feathers and see if the shafts are white or if they are blue to determine if they are through with their molt.
