I've had this white hen for 2 years now as I bought her from a farm. I kept her as a backyard chicken pet and she is very docile and loving, however yesterday there was an incident where she unfortunately passed away due to an accident where no one was around.. I miss her very much and despite this it has made me wonder about her breed, as I do plan to raise a young chick hopefully in the future. I assume she is an Orpington hen, but I'm not quite experienced with chooks so I am not very sure. Would also appreciate it if there were perhaps a quick guide or something I can read over on how to raise chicks. As for age, the farm only told us she was quite old and we are still not sure what age she was but she only rarely laid eggs since we had her two years ago. Anything would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

(There are more pictures in necessary)

Hey, her feet seemed a bit faded but its definitely white, I am not sure if that is something to do with the age. Her eggs are also white, here's some pictures for reference. I can't tell if they're Australorp, Orpington or even something else.

Ok umm I'm not sure now. The feet and egg color have stumped me. If the egg is kind of a really light brown (it does kind of look like it...) then it might be a white orpington. That is my only thought. Sorry

Were those feathers on her legs? If so, she's a mixed breed bird.

If not, she looks like a white Rock to me. Maybe a mix still with that kind of funky comb.

Thanks for the help guys, it's a shame she passed away. Any suggestions on what mix of breed? (Also yup those are feathers on her feet coming down)
