Good afternoon all. I've been following BYC for a very long time but just recently signed up when I needed help with a sick hen. I want to thank everyone for all the great advice throughout the entire site. This is an amazing community we're a part of and I look forward to sharing my experiences as well as hearing your stories and swapping tips/tricks to keeping happy, healthy birds.

Thank you! I believe she's got an egg stuck in her vent. We're going to attempt to help her lay it. I've gotten mixed answers on this but will not give up on her. 4 years of raising hens and I've never faced an illness or a backed up hen. I'm nervous and sad for her.

Hi there, welcome to Backyard chickens!! So glad you joined us, but sorry to hear about your hen. If you type ''Egg Bound'' into the search bar, you will find some threads that may help you. Good luck!
