So its been a hard decision but we have decided to have our young wyandotte roo euthanized:( about a week ago he looked like he had developed a slipped tendon but we didnt catch it in time.. I couldnt justify spending $80+ on a vet visit as if it was a roo we would either need to cull or give it away anyway as we cant keep roos which was a hard decision to make but he cant walk properly when on the shavings and he cant get in and out of the coop by himself and hes having to lie down when hes eating so today weve made the decision to euthanise him as were not set up or have experience in culling ourselves... I have to keep telling myself that this is probably what happens to most roosters anyway and that ive given him a great short life full of mealworms and love. Its still very sad but in the end we couldnt keep him even if we wanted to pay to try and have him fixed up :(

Did you already euthanize him? If not how bad is the slipped tendon?

It turned out not to be a slipped tendon i got the vet to have a look it was a genetic error were he grew too quickly and the ligaments didnt grow at the same rate nothing i could of done to help him so we put him down...
