I'm looking to buy some crested ducks and breeding them with the ones I've got. Will 50% of the offspring be crested? What happens when I breed and crested to another crested?

You will end up with a fair number dead in their shells (about 25%).
If a duckling receives the crested gene from both parent birds, the duckling will not survive and will die before hatching. A double dose of the crested gene will cause the duckling’s brain to develop improperly and outside of the skull.

I have 2 crested ducks and one of mine is fine the other has had many problems like blindness and a deformed side crest. I love the ones i have but after doing research on the white crested ducks i would never buy one again.......so my advise would be make sure you do your researchI'm looking to buy some crested ducks and breeding them with the ones I've got. Crested to crested yields a high percentage of offspring that will die in the egg before hatching. But the survivors will have a higher chance of having a larger crest than the parents.
To get the best hatching results, breed crested to non crested. You'll get offspring that are crested, some non crested that carry the gene, and some that are non crested and don't carry the gene. But non will have a lethal dose of crested genetics
