I don't really know these girls or where they came from. They are about 12 weeks old 2 are wyandottes. I already have one that I raised from chickhood so I know how they should look, but one of the two doesnt look the same.
I will post a picture tomorrow when I have a helping hand but for now I will try to describe.
She looks like a wyandotte thats for sure, but her coloring on her back feathers arent as sharply drawn like the other, and her legs are reaallly long. When I first saw it gave me goosebumps

Idk why it was just unexpected I guess. My question is, is this normal, maybe just her? Or can it be that she was mixed with something else.. Her legs are so long, in comparison to my other wyandotte any ideas why?

I tried taking some but she won't stand still. I will need someone to hold her. Besides it being different it worried me because she stands funny with her legs inverted. I figured it was because of her height and the cage shes in... please keep an eye so I can get some thoughts once I post a pic. Thanks!

Holding birds for photos usually just ends up obscuring what needs to be seen. Be patient, move slowly, and be ready to push the button. Natural lighting works best to capture feathering detail and coloring accurately. And she will have to be in a natural standing position. But patience is the real key when photographing animals.

OK, these aren't the best my curiosity is killing me, I will take better pictures tomorrow when I set her free in the backyard. Here are the two wyandottes, maybe I'm just crazy here, but the lady I picked them up from said she got them both At just a few days old so they are the same age for comparison. What I see is the length and thickness of her legs are not like her sister or the older hen I already have.

Oh my you are right! It looks like she got some game bird in her.... can't say which though! There are some other breeds that have those legs but they are not coming to my head

Well I am going to say that it is a cockerel from the redness of the comb and wattles, other than that IDK. Are you absolutely sure that that bird is only 12 weeks?
