I have 6 Orpington hens I got the first 3 at 4 weeks old and the 2nd 3 at 6 weeks. Only 1 of them has been laying eggs for over a month not sure what's going on this is the first time I've ever had chickens. I do let them Free range a couple times a week of the weather is ok.

Welcome to BYC!

How old are the birds now? Can you take and post some photos of the birds so that we may see and assess their maturity?
 
I have Orpingtons....One started laying at 20 weeks ..So well over a month now...The one Pullet just started last week...The other two have not...Look at combs and wattles...They will get bigger and redder...They will hop in and out of nest boxes and will squat if getting ready to lay..All these symptoms can take a month before they lay the first egg....
