What is wrong with my hen's eye?

Help! I noticed today my EE hen has one eye that is slightly shut. She doesn't have any sinus infection symptoms, in fact she seems perfectly fine other than her eye. It does look a little crusty though and she's not very tame so getting any closer right now was not feasible. I took this pic with my cell phone when they went it to roost tonight so it's not macro quality but hopefully enough that someone might have an idea of what is going on. I live in the San Diego area, so even though it's slightly chilly at night, nothing that can cause frostbite. Thanks for any advice!

I would be concerned that she could have a respiratory disease, such as mycoplasma (mg) or coryza. MG can cause sneezing, nasal and eye drainage, and sometimes swelling around the eye. Tylan 50 injectable given orally or as an injection into the breast muscle, or oxytetracycline in the water can treat bacterial and mycoplasmal diseases. Clean any eye drainage or crusts with warm compresses or rinsingwith saline, and applying Terramycin eye ointment which is available at feed stores.
 
If she's not sneezing, has no nasal or eye drainage, could this still be a respiratory disease? I have Tylan 50 and I believe you are supposed to give it for five days straight, correct? This will be fun because I adopted her at five months of age from a breeder and she isn't very social. She's almost a year old now. I will probably have to do it when she roosts at night since she's a fierce one to catch. Thanks for the tips.
 
I am having respiratory issues with my flock as well. We've already had one symptomatic bird die. My wife was convinced that the birds were suffering from MG, however, after reading through the symptoms of each of the possible respiratory diseases (http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044), I've come to realize that it could be any number of things. My question is, without knowing the exact issue, is it safe to administer antibiotics to the whole flock. I would ideally like to treat them with something I can put into their water because I feel that administering antibiotics to 100 birds will prove to be a logistical nightmare, but if necessary we can give it a try. I also have to be concerned for other livestock that might be sharing the water.

If her eye is crusty, then there is eye drainage. Tylan can be given for 3-5 days at a dosage of 10mg or 0.2 ml per pound of weight. It can be given oraly or by injection into the breast muscle 1/4 inch deep.
 
I dosed her orally with Tylan50 both in AM and PM the other day and then once each morning thereafter. Today is day three and she is looking so much better. Thank you @Eggcessive
